Larchmont Man Arrested in Harrison For Marijuana Possession

A 30-year old Larchmont resident was arrested in Harrison on June 21 for unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, though he claimed to have "stopped smoking weed since I was married a year ago."

Harrison Police pulled the man over for tailgating another car near 251 Halstead Ave. at 3:02 p.m.. When the officer approached the car, he detected a strong smell of burnt marijuana, according to police reports.

A search of the car revealed two bags of marijuana on the floor. The Larchmont man was arrested and released on his own recognizance (ROR) and will return to Harrison court on July 16.
