A few of the Harrison High School varsity and junior varsity teams launched the 2013 fall sports season last week before classes began for the new school year. The JV and Varsity Volleyball teams posted opening day wins against Croton-Harmon on Tuesday, September 3.
The Husky football program notched impressive wins against perennial football powerhouse Brewster. Community and school spirit were in abundance and the award-winning Harrison High School Marching band performed a medley of Beatles hits as their halftime show. The varsity Huskies won their opener 35-24. This week’s game will be held Thursday, September 12 at 4:30pm at Pearl River High School to avoid conflicting with the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur.
The fall sports season for all junior varsity and varsity teams will open in full fashion on Monday, September 9.
