St. Gregory the Great Parish
<p>Originally served by priests from neighboring communities, St. Gregory the Great Parish was incorporated in 1900, and the church was constructed in 1902.</p> <p>After the original church was torn down when Harrison widened Halstead Avenue in 1934, a new Romanesque-style church was built upon a foundation of building stones from the original church.</p> <p>St. Gregory's also sponsors a chapter of the CYO basketball program.</p> <p>The parish is run by Msgr. Francis J. Mc Aree, J.C.D.</p>
