Old Oaks Country Club

Sprawled over 220 acres in the heart of Purchase, this country club is impressive. Its facilities include a Tillinghast-designed 18-hole golf course, 10 Har Tru tennis courts, an Olympic-size swimming pool and 16 resident suites. But the pièce de résistance is the lavish 1898 clubhouse, originally built as a residence for silk merchant Trenor Luther Park. The club currently has more than 300 members, many of whom are third- and fourth-generation.
