Neuberger Museum's Paper Jam 2014 Features Works on Paper by Established and Emerging Artists

One of the most popular events of the year in Westchester, the Neuberger Museum of Art’s Paper Jam is one terrific party and high-quality auction of works on paper by well-known and emerging artists.  

In celebration of the Museum’s 40th Anniversary Year, Paper Jam 2014 will feature 40 works by 40 artists such as Sigalit Landau, Julie Langsam, Mike and Doug Starn, Faith Ringgold, Dana Schutz, Laurie Simmons, Kiki Smith, Kunié Sugiura, Ursula von Rydingsvard, and Fred Wilson.  If you are an established collector or just starting out, you will find lots to love at this annual event that typically draws art lovers and partygoers from far and wide.

“Artists and galleries have donated great artworks, and we are very grateful and proud of our line up,” says Paola Morsiani, Director, Neuberger Museum of Art. “There are amazing photographs and very special drawings. We hope everyone will take advantage of Paper Jam!”

Among the works that are either made of paper or that incorporate paper are prints, photographs, drawings, and collages. One may view the art to be auctioned on the Museum’s website at www.neubeger.org.  So, whether you are an established or beginning collector, you can acquire work by some of the hottest contemporary artists, at some of the coolest prices, during the Silent and Live auctions.

Paper Jam is slated for Saturday, April 5, at the Museum, located at 735 Anderson Hill Road in Purchase, New York. The event begins at 6:30 pm with cocktails, dinner by the bite, Silent Auction, and the Live Auction preview. The Live Auction begins at 8:30 pm, followed by dessert at 10 pm. The dress code is casual chic attire. There is valet parking.

Funds raised from Paper Jam support the Neuberger Museum of Art’s 40th Anniversary Season exhibitions and educational programs. Individual tickets are $150. There are ticket packages at various levels, as described on the Museum’s website, including the Papyrus level at $6,000, Parchment level at $4,000 and Vellum @ $1,500. These three ticket packages include designated VIP lounge area, the opportunity to host an artist/s in your VIP area, dedicated wait staff & bottle of champagne, as well as recognition in website, catalog, at event and in remarks (commensurate with giving level).
