Description: Vendors come from all over the Hudson Valley area to sell their fresh fruits, vegetables and other products at the Bronxville Farmers Market. At the Bronxville Farmers Market you can find organic produce, pasture-raised meats and poultry, maple syrup, pickles, cheese, breads, local wines and so much more.

Dobbs Ferry: Sing along with Raging Grannies
Where/When: 343 Broadway in Dobbs Ferry on Sunday, Sept. 1 at 10 a.m.
Why go: Raging Grannies WOWW are celebrating women this weekend with a special service and poetry reading. Everyone is welcome, as this church’s website says: "members and non-members, Christians and non-Christians, believers and doubters."

Ossining: Hike the Overlook Trail
Where: Teatown Lake Reservation, 1600 Spring Valley Road, Ossining

Cost: Free for members, $5 nonmembers
Description: We’ll visit one of the least frequented areas of Teatown on this moderate hike through Hidden Valley and up the Overlook Trail. Look for box turtles and snakes in the blueberry meadow and see how the blight on hemlocks has changed the landscape. Free for members; $5pp for nonmembers. Pleasantville: Pleasantville Farmers' Market
Where/When: Memorial Plaza on Saturday, Aug. 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Why go: Farmers Market nutritionist Marina Stopler will be on-hand this week from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. this Saturday to take all about the nutrition involved in preserved and canned foods. Also on tap, country music duo David Kraai and Amy Laber will be performing from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Rye: Playland Season Comes to An End
Where: Playland Parkway, Rye

Description: Playland’s last day of the season is Monday Sept. 2 so this weekend is your last chance to enjoy the rides there. The fireworks finale is Friday, Aug. 30 at 9:15 p.m. Read more at ryeplayland.org.
Sleepy Hollow: CORNucopia Festival
Where: Philipsburg Manor, 381 N. Broadway (Route 9), Sleepy Hollow
When: From Saturday, Aug. 31 through Monday, Sept. 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Description: Experience the Hudson Valley's first corn festival! Feast on a bounty of corn-centric delicacies and take part in a bevy of corn-related activities. Games of chance, a corn-husking contest, a cornbread cookoff, corn whiskey tasting and corncob mural making are just some of the corny activities on tap.
Somers: 'Golden Apple' Bike Tour
When/Where: Sunday, Sept. 1 at 7 a.m. at Best Plumbing Tile & Stone Parking Lot, located at 49 New York Route 138 in Somers
Cost: Advanced registration is $55 through Aug. 30. Limited day-of registration, $65.
Description: About 800 cyclists from throughout the tri-state area are expected to participate in the event. The Golden Apple Tour will raise money for a charity to be determined by the Westchester Cycle Club during its annual meeting in December. For more information, click here.
White Plains: Grill & Game Night

Yorktown: Last Lions Summer Concert
When: Sunday, Sept. 1 at 6 p.m.
Where: Jack Devito Memorial Park, Veterans Road, Yorktown

Description: The Yorktown Lions Club are presenting 45 RPM. The event is free and open to the public. Food will be served by the Yorktown Lions Club. As part of a food drive, residents are asked to bring an items which the Yorktown Lions Club can donate to local food banks. The band was voted Best Cover Band 2013 by the Long Island Press.
