Menard said she found out about the opportunity "through a friend's dad."

Since graduation, "I have been traveling and editing wedding photos from a wedding that I photographed," she said in an email. "I'm also working on my portfolio and filling out job applications."

Menard describes her photography style as "gritty and raw" and said she is typically "inspired by my surroundings and everyday events."

Sarfaty said he is looking for Menard to capture the crowds and kids at the festival that draws thousands each year.

Said Menard, "I'm looking forward to hearing all of the great bands and very excited to shoot any of them."
