Photos: Harrison Supports Blood/Organ Drive

Volunteers donated 22 pints of blood to the American Red Cross Wednesday at the Harrison Veterans Building.

Volunteers Ada Angarano and Jennifer Lucas joined the Harrison EMS organizing a blood and organ drive at the Harrison Veterans Building Wednesday afternoon.

The event gathered 22 pints of blood for the American Red Cross and six people signed up to become organ donors. Many of those who donated were Type O blood, which is in great need as the Red Cross experiences low blood levels in Westchester County.

The 22 pints is enough to help 66 patients in need of blood tranfusions.
