Thin Mint Thug: Cops Say Man Points Gun at Girl Scout

A young girl in California gets a major scare.

TEMECULA, Calif. — What an un-American act on the most American of weekends.

A 59-year-old man from California greeted a Girl Scout selling cookies at his door on Super Bowl Sunday with a gun, authorities said.

John Dodrill of Temecula was arrested and charged with attempted assault with a deadly weapon. Officers took him in to custody without issue.

“The victim, who is a minor, was going door to door selling cookies,” according to Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Daniel Decker. “When the victim knocked on the suspect's door, he opened the door and pointed a gun at her."

The girl's father, who witnessed the incident, called police.

(I love how one commenter on our local post wants to band together to buy cookies from the victim. Nice!)
