Harrison Library Memoir Writers to Share a Slice of Their Lives

Everyone has a story. With moments ranging from poignant to mundane, it's all about how you tell the tale. The Harrison Library memoir writers' group will present highlights of their lives on Saturday, July 20th from 10:00am-12:00noon.

The Harrison Library invites the community to a unique event this weekend, during which 15 participants who have completed the library's ten-week memoir-writing workshop with Bill Wertheimer will present their works.

Everyone has a compelling story, with moments ranging from poignant to mundane – it's all about how you tell your tale. This promises to be a special community event.

Participants in the memoir writing workshop have met weekly for over two months. Led by professional writer and educator Bill Wertheim, the group of 15 participated in meditative exercises, writing lessons, and presented their work to their classmates for feedback as they went along.  Saturday's public reading is the culmination of the 10-week workshop.
