Harrison's varsity teams prepare for the playoffs during games this week.

Varsity Boys Lacrosse

After ending last week with a loss at Nyack, Harrison got back to their winning ways picking up three home victories against Clarkstown South, Irvington and Nanuet.

The story of the week was Brandon Bonistall picking up his 100th career goal for Harrison in his final home game for the Huskies against Nanuet on senior day. Bonistall had four goals in the 15-5 victory while Spencer Klein, Alex Acompra and Drew Pritchard each had three.

Varsity Baseball

The Husky baseball team outscored opponents 22-4 in three games this week, winning all three, as the team continues to gain late-season momentum.

Harrison defeated Westlake 5-3 on Wednesday behind a tandem pitching effort from captain Michael Jacobson and senior Brian Lobel. Neither pitcher was perfect, but together they got the job done for Harrison. During the game Harrison got a solid offensive output from senior Peter Viscogliosi who was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs.

Later in the week Harrison traveled to Rye Neck and went home with a 13-0 victory. Vinnie Nicita Jr. took the hill for Harrison and needed only 86 pitches for a complete game two-hitter. Jacobson, Viscogliosi, Nicita and Austin Pollack each had three hits and Jacobson had five RBI for Harrison.

Saturday's game against Horace Greeley was postponed due to weather, but the Huskies will have several opportunities next week to tune their skills before the playoffs.

Varsity Softball

The Huskies improved to 15-1 this week with victories against Panas, Rye and Fox Lane. Harrison’s Samantha Angiletta won all three games for the Harrison, tossing every inning of the three games.

Harrison captain Jessica Magnotta continued to break records, becoming the school's all-time leader in runs scored during a 7-1 victory over Panas. Harrison also traveled to Rye and defeated the Garnets 18-2. This week's action concluded with an 11-6 victory over Fox Lane at home.

The middle of the lineup for Harrison caught fire this week. Juniors Alijah and Jenna Webb combined to go 15-for-23 with 10 runs and 15 RBIs in the three games. The Huskies only have four games left before the start of the postseason and they will have to finish strong to earn home field advantage during the playoffs.

Varsity Boys Tennis

The boys won their only match this week against Blind Brook 6-1, but the week was spent mostly preparing the conference tournament. Originally the league tournament was scheduled for this week, but that was scratched because there were so many players qualified for the conference tournament.

Michael Chen will be the lone Husky entry as an individual in the conference tournament. Brandon Ellis and Andy Smithline, Bennet Wissak and Kosta Teverovskiy and Charlie Hayden and Grant Wissak will all compete for the doubles crown.

Varsity Girls Lacrosse

The girls lacrosse team finished their season this week without a victory, but the team should be better prepared for next season after taking on a very difficult schedule throughout this year.

Alex Misisco picked up three goals while Sarah Berman added two and Laura Doherty, Sofie San Marco and Christie Nannariello each had one in the team's final game against Pleasantville.
