Husky Basketball Teams Start Playoffs Thursday

Harrison High School will play host to two Section I play-in games Thursday. The girls will play Beacon while the boys will take on Nanuet.

The Harrison boys and girls varsity basketball teams have their work cut out for them in this year's Section I tournament. Both teams will have to emerge from out-of-bracket games in order to reach the championship.

On the bright side, the draw earns each team a home game Thursday night.

At 5 p.m. the Husky boys (8-10) will square off with Nanuet (4-14). A win in that game would land Harrison a trip to Eastchester (14-4) for the tournament's first round.

Then the Harrison girls (6-12) will host Beacon (4-14) at 7 p.m. in another play-in game. The winner will advance to take on a powerful Pearl River (17 - 1) squad Friday evening.
