Daily Sports Digest: Volleyball Continues To Dominate

After a thrilling match against Fox Lane the Husky volleyball team continued to dominate as they dismantled Ossining. Harrison soccer team fell to Rye yesterday, but hopefully that will be the only time the Huskies lose to the Garnets this week.

Harrison High School students and athletes continue to prepare for the Rye-Harrison football game tomorrow, as the student body will be having their annual pep rally and bonfire tonight starting at 7 pm.

The students will be holding a black out all day at school for the final day of spirit week.

The Harrison athletic office announced that tickets for the game will go on sale at noon with an expected opening kick off at 1:30. Parking will be tight for the contest so get to the high school early or you can park at the office buildings on Mamaroneck Avenue or LMK Middle School and take a shuttle bus over.

Sport: Boy’s Soccer

Game: Harrison @ Rye

Score:  Harrison Lost 2-1

Highlights: It wasn’t “The Game”, but when Harrison and Rye get together, regardless of the sport, you know it will be a good matchup. Mattheus Gornes led the why for Rye with two goals and Liam Harris added five saves in goal. Robert Medori had five saves for the Huskies while Erik Johansen scored the only goal for the Huskies.

Sport: Volleyball

Game: Ossining @ Harrison

Score:  Harrison Won 3-0

Highlights: After a hard-fought match against Fox Lane earlier in the week, Harrison disposed of Ossining with ease. Ossining made the last set close, but Harrison’s Jessica Segal and Lily Stoke proved to be too much for the Pride to handle.

Today’s Schedule:

In field hockey, The Huskies will head to Byram Hills for a 4:15 p.m. matchup. The two teams tied at one in their late September game.

In girl’s soccer, Harrison beat Rye 2-1 when the teams played earlier at Harrison. The Huskies will need everything they have to sweep the season series; the two teams face off at Rye at 5 p.m.

In girl’s swimming, Harrison will host Scarsdale at 4:30 p.m. at Louis M. Klein Middle School.
