NYSSWA Announces Girls All-State Team:

The NYSSWA announced the All-State Teams for girls basketball earlier in the week. Each class has several teams, a player of the year and a coach of the year.

Class AA’s Player of the Year Breanna Steweart of Cicero-North Syracuse narrowly beat out Ossining’s junior Saniya Chong for the top award.

Pearl River’s took home the Player of the Year award in Class A and Irvington’s Lexi Martins was named the top player in Class B. Irvington Head Coach Gina Maher was also named the Coach of the Year.

Class C’s Player of the Year went to Greenwich’s Dani DeGregory and McKenzie Bezon of Elba won the award in Class D.
