Junior forward Byran Merlos of Harrison opened the scoring, sparking the SUNY Cortland men’s soccer team to its fourth straight victory, 2-1 in overtime at Oneonta in SUNYAC action.
The Red Dragons, who pulled even at 4-4, open a four-game stretch at home today at 4 p.m. against Plattsburgh State, a team that showcases three freshmen from Mamaroneck: midfielders Fabian Chaparro and Shaq Jackson-Lee, and defender Omar Fernandez.
On Saturday, Cortland meets Potsdam at 2:30 p.m.
