Despite Soggy Start, Business as Usual at HCSD

The weather may not have been ideal, but the first day of school went according to plan at Harrison's public schools.

Rain fell heavily while the morning and afternoon bells rang, but there were no problems with transportation, no delays and no flooding, said Monica Miles, a school spokesperson.

"Everything went off without a hitch," Miles said. "Back to business as usual."
