Board of Education Petitions Now Available

Thinking of running for the Harrison Board of Education? Petitions to run for a seat this May are now available.

It's that time of year again—election season for seats on the Harrison Board of Education.

Petitions are now available for anyone interested in making a run for a seat on the board. In order to run for the board, a candidate must have lived within the Harrison Central School District for at least one year and must submit a petition with at least 68 signatures by April 16. Other requirements are listed here.

The petitions are available at the district clerk's office.

This year there are two seats open for election. Candidates must apply for a specific seat, one is currenty occupied by Board President Dennis DiLorenzo, the other by Joan Tiburzi.

The school budget and board of education votes will be held on May 16.
