Travel Alert: Road Work Coming On Hutchinson River Parkway
Lane and ramp closures expected in New Rochelle for overnight paving.
The state Department of Transportation says that motorists should expect overnight road work on the Hutchinson River Parkway in New Rochelle next week, with lanes and ramps closed in both directions.
Work is slated to run from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting on Monday and running through Thursday. The work is taking place in the area of Exit 18 - Mill Road, and Exit 17 - North Avenue.
Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through the work area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including work zone signs and flaggers. Travelers are also reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
