Town Officials to be Sworn in New Years Day

The new term for Harrison's recently elected officials begins with an installation ceremony at 1:30 p.m.

A group of new faces will lead Harrison into 2012, starting with an official swearing-in ceremony at 1:30 p.m. on New Years Day.

Mayor/Supervisor-Elect Ron Belmont will officially take office along with Town Clerk-Elect Jackie Greer, Town Council-Elect Stephen Malfitano and Town Justice-Elect Nelson Canter. 

Belmont, Malfitano and Canter, all Republicans, defeated incumbents during November's elections to win their seats. Greer defeated Democrat Frank Corvino to win her first term in the town clerk's office.

Councilman Fred Sciliano and Town Justic Marc Lust will officially begin new terms after winning re-election in November.
