Town Board Meetings Now Available Live Online
Don't get channel 75, but enjoy Harrison's public Town Board meetings? You can now watch meetings live on the internet.
In an effort to expand the reach of Harrison's town meetings, Town Clerk Jackie Greer announced this week that the Board's bi-weekly meetings will be streamed live on the town's website.
Meetings were previously available only on channel 75 and online, typically a week or so after the meeting. Greer said in a statement this week that streaming the meetings live will give military members, college students and seasonable residents live access to local policy decisions.
Mike Piccini, coordinator of computer services, put together the live streaming at a cost of about $20, Greer said.

This week's announcement also included word of a re-vamped town website. Greer said she is working with a focus group of a few town employees to create an interactive site that will include resident feedback space and the ability to pay fees online by credit card.
