Town Board Adds Worker to Court Clerk's Office

The Harrison Town Board voted this week to spend an extra $25,000 to add a part-time employee to the court clerk's office.

With paperwork piling up and a full-time employee expected to miss and extended amount of time, the Harrison Town Board as approved $25,000 for a new part-time employee to help in the court clerk's office in 2012.

Harrison Police Chief Anthony Marraccini spoke out in support of the part-time help, saying that additional summonses are piling up and that Court Clerk Jacqueline Ricciardi needs the help.

The full-time employee is out on medical disability and isn't expected to return this year, said Harrison Mayor/Supervisor Ron Belmont. The unexpected cost will come out of the town's contingency budget.
