Tappan Zee Bridge Team in Rye Thursday

State officials will be at Rye Free Reading Room to answer questions about the Tappan Zee project Thursday

Governor Andrew Cuomo is dispatching a team of state officials to answer questions about the Tappan Zee bridge project this Thursday at 6 p.m. Rye Free Reading Room is located at 1061 Boston Post Road.

Commuters in Westchester and Rockland counties have been buzzing with concern after reports that tolls for a replacement to the deteriorating Tappan Zee bridge could reach $14 -nearly triple the current $5 fee.

Brian Conybeare, recently been hired as a special advisor to the Governor's Office, has been tasked with getting more information about the bridge project to residents. He said the team will make a presentation about the bridge project and "answer questions on the spot for residents."

Tarrytown Patch recently reported Conybeare expects to host as many as 100 of these community meetings around the state.
