Paladino Retires As Village Attorney

After working years as a village attorney, Robert Paladino has announced his retirement.

Village Attorney Robert Paladino has sent his letter of retirement to the Harrison town board and will leave his position at the end of the year.

Paladino has held his position with the village for four years, since Harrison Mayor/Supervisor Joan Walsh took office in 2007. The town/village board approved his retirement at last week's meeting.

It has been common practice in Harrison for the incoming mayor/supervisor to choose the town and village attorneys during their administration.

Paladino is on vacation this week and could not be reached for comment at the time of publication.

"I'm really sorry to see Bob go," said Walsh. "He's been an incredible resource to me during the four years that I've been here."

Councilwoman Marlane Amelio also thanked Paladino for his service, thanking him for his help during her first two years serving on the town/village board.

The town/village board will work with the incoming administration to find a replacement, likely early next year.
