Nominations Open for Citizen of the Year

The Harrison Recreation Department will begin accepting nominations for citizen of the year this week.

Do you know someone who has changed the community for the better over the last year? If so, now is your chance to give him or her some well-deserved credit.

The Harrison Recreation Department will begin accepting nominations for citizen of the year this week. A nomination committee within the department will help choose a winner to be honored during It's Great to Live in Harrison Day on Oct. 8.

Last year's winner was the late Joseph Acocella Jr., who was months after his death. New York City Police Officer Robert Salerno after he was injured in the line of duty earlier that year.
