Library Board Seeking New Trustees

The nine-memner Library Board of Trustees oversees the fiscal operations of Harrison's two libraries. Once selected, trustees serve a five-year term.

The Harrison Library Board of Trustees is accepting applications to fill open positions on its nine-member board.

Board members set policies and provide fiscal oversight to Harrison's and branches. Candidates are selected to a five-year term and this is a volunteer position.

Successful trustees will take on the position with "care, loyalty and obedience," according to the New York State Board of Regents' description of the position. Trustees will work with other board members to ensure both of Harrison's libraries are using resources effectively while striving to meet the library's goals.
