Harrison Town Clerk's Office May Sell E-Z Pass “On-the- Go” Tags

If approved by the Town Board, sales of E-Z pass "On-the- Go" Tags from the Town Clerk's office could begin by mid August.

Harrison Town Clerk Jackie Greer has been working with the New York State Thruway Authority to become one of the first Town Clerk offices in New York State to be a sales point for E-Z pass “On-the- Go” Tags according to a release from the Greer's office. 

Greer is requesting approval from the Town Board at the next meeting to move forward with the proposed agreement. E-Z Pass “On-the Go” is an innovative way to obtain an E-Z Pass Tag. E-Z Pass “On-the-Go” allows the busy traveler to open an E-Z Pass account for two axle vehicles without filling out an application or waiting in line.

There is a simple 3 step process.

  1. Stop by the Town Clerk's office and purchase the prepackaged account kit for $25.00.

  2. Mount the tag in the vehicle and start using it immediately.

  • Visit WWW.e-zpassNY.com or call 1-800-697 1544 to register your Tag within 48 hours of its first use. Once the tag is registered, the full $25.00 will be moved to your E-Z Pass Account.

  • After registration the Tag can be used like any other E-Z Pass Tag, according to the release.  E-Z Pass “On-the-Go” can even be added to your existing account.  

    E-Z Pass is now accepted in 15 States.

    The Town Clerks Office will receive almost 17% of the gross sales generating additional income for the Town.
