Construction Begins on West St. Bridge

Traffic will be slow over Interstate-95 for most of the summer as crews perform maintenance work.

There will be a bit of a wait to pass over I-95 on West Street this summer, as maintenance crews work on the West Street Bridge in Harrison.

Construction began Monday morning and will likely continue for the next two to three months, according to the town's website. Traffic over the bridge has been reduced to one lane.

Crews are currently working on the south side of the bridge and traffic in both directions are sharing the north lane. Temporary traffic lights on both sides will direct traffic.
