Castelli Announces Run For Full Assembly Term

Goldens Bridge Republican won seat in February special election. Two Democrats vying for nomination for general election.

State Assemblyman Robert Castelli (R-Goldens Bridge) announced yesterday that he will run for a full term of two years in the 89th district. He was first elected to the seat in a February special election win over Westchester County Legislator Peter Harckham (D-Katonah).

The announcement was made "from his front porch," rather than at a rally, according to a campaign press release.

Running as a reformer in February, Castelli is using the theme again for the general election.
