6 Candidates Running For 3 Seats on Harrison BOE

Three separate two-candidate races will decide who will take a seat on the Harrison Board of Education.

All three open seats on the will be won through a contested race on May 17, as six candidates have announced their intention to run for a seat on the board.

All three board of education trustees with expiring terms will run for re-election. Paul Curtis will look to retain his seat against Joseph Magnus, Robert Piliero will run against incumbent Philip Silano and incumbent David Singer will run against Matthew Joseph.

In accordance with Harrison's election process candidates will run directly against each other, meaning voters will choose a candidate for each open seat rather than picking any three candidates. This method creates three separate races between two candidates this year.
