Woman Injured in West Harrison Crash (VIDEO)

The two-vehicle accident happened at about 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of Park Avenue and Grant Street.

A woman was taken to White Plains Hospital with minor injuries after her vehicle was sideswiped in a two-car accident at the intersection of Park Avenue and Grant Street.

A red Ford Focus hit the woman's gray Acura TSX in the middle of the intersection at about 2:15 p.m. West Harrison Assistant Fire Chief Michael Pellegrino said the two drivers probably never saw each other because a vehicle legally parked on Grant Street blocked their line of site during the accident.

The Ford Focus was traveling southbound on Park Avenue; the Acura was traveling eastbound on Grant Street. The Acura was hit on the driver's side, Pellegrino said. Neither vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the accident, Pellegrino said, and no traffic laws were broken.

The woman's injuries were minor, she was complaining of chest pains likely caused by her seatbelt, Pellegrino said. The male driver of the Ford Focus was not injured.

The West Harrison Fire Department, Harrison Police Department and Harrison EMS responded to the scene.
