Wanted: Police Offer $3,000 Reward For Info on Bank Robber

Police are still looking for the man who robbed a Chase Bank on Halstead Avenue last week.

Harrison Police are offering a $3,000 cash reward to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and indictment of the who last week.

More than a week has passed since an unidentified man walked into the bank and handed a teller a threatening note and walked out with an unidentified amount of money.

It took the man only about a minute to get in and out of the bank. He fled either on foot or possibly in a metallic blue Honda Civic and hasn't been seen since.

Harrison Police surrounded the bank, located at 402 Halstead Avenue, within minutes. A canvassing of the area using a police K-9 and police helicopter didn't turn up enough evidence to track the man down.

The note handed to the teller read "I have a weapon and I am not afraid to use it," police say. Although no weapon was shown at the scene, police said in a flyer released Friday that the man is possibly armed and dangerous.
