9-Month-Old Puppy Used as ‘Bait Dog’ Dies

A 9-month-old puppy was put to sleep after suffering massive wounds and blood loss after likely being used as a "bait dog" to train other dogs to fight. The dog was found in Yonkers.

White Plains cops said a man and woman stole $875 worth of dream angel underwear from a Victoria’s Secret on Main Street. Employees told cops the security alarm rang but they did not see anyone leave the store. Security footage showed a man and woman stuffing garments into a Macy's bag and leaving.

Valley Cottage Woman Charged with Illegally Obtaining Medicaid Benefits

A Valley Cottage woman who was working as a nanny is accused of illegally collecting Medicaid benefits while she was employed. Scarcella faces a hearing in Rockland County Court in New City and faces third-degree larceny charges.

Two Hastings-on-Hudson residents reported that their cars and homes had been egged. No damage was sustained during the eggings.

Putnam Man Faces Animal Cruelty Charge

The Putnam County SPCA is charging a 57-year-old Kent man with animal cruelty after the dog was discovered to be severely malnourished, according to the SPCA. The 3-year-old Doberman was reportedly "extremely emaciated, dehydrated, and malnourished," according to the SPCA. An arrest was made following a two-month investigation.
