Screaming Man; Public Urination; Black Bear Sighting

Recent weird and unusual crime in the Hudson Valley. Reports do not indicate a conviction.

A black bear charged toward a Bedford resident who was approximately 40 feet away, according to police. The bear was gone by the time police arrived.

A 25-year-old Bronx woman was observed by Bronxville Police Sergeant Anthony Deleo making an illegal u-turn. The sergeant discovered that the woman's licence had been revoked in 2010 for driving under the influence. The woman was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree. Her car was impounded. The woman was released on bail pending her court date.

A 36-year-old and 32 year-old were arrested in separate incidents for public urination in Mt. Kisco. 

Port Chester police found a 25-year-old man asleep at the wheel of his car in the middle of Brent Avenue and Sherman Street with the car running. Officers needed several minutes to awaken the man, who had his foot on the break. The man was charged with drunken driving. 

An Irvington resident called police when they allegedly heard a man screaming from the vicinity of Matthiessen Park. Other witnesses told police a man entered the woods with a flashlight, but police were unable to locate anyone. 

A 69-year-old Peekskill man had a heart attack while swimming at and later died at .
