Police Still Looking For Armed Robbers in Larchmont

Police searched an area near the Larchmont Train Station Wednesday for two people they believe tried to rob a delivery truck with a pellet gun.

Police say they are still searching for two people that they believe attempted to rob a delivery truck behind a Larchmont pizzeria Wednesday afternoon.

At about 2:30 p.m a man approached a delivery truck behind Leonardo's Pizzeria, located at 2133 Palmer Avenue in Larchmont, brandishing a black pellet gun that at the time was believed to be a pistol. The suspect, who concealed his face, ordered two delivery men to stand at the side of the truck while a second suspect entered the cab and tried to break into a safe inside the vehicle, according to a police statement.

The robbery was unsuccessful, according to police, and the suspects fled eastbound away from the scene.
