Two men left Mamaroneck Ave. in handcuffs early Saturday morning after police say they were instigating fights and refused to leave the area.
Dennis Xie, 21, who left a Manhattanville College address, was charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, as well as disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of marijuana, violations. An 18-year-old man, who also left an address at Manhattanville, was cited for disorderly conduct.
Police responded to a fight in front of at 166 Mamaroneck Ave. at about 2:18 a.m. Saturday. There they found Xie and another male fighting with bouncers and patrons, according to an arrest report.
Both men were asked to leave the area, but refused and walked toward the bar, police say. When an officer held out his arm to stop Xie from walking into the bar, police say the 21-year-old pushed away the officer's hand and continued walking. Police say both men took fighting stances and became aggressive with police.
The 18-year-old male was handcuffed at this time, police say. Xie, meanwhile, held his hands against his chest and refused to be handcuffed. Police eventually managed to place Xie under arrest and he was transported to police headquarters.

Police say they later found a glass container holding a small amount of marijuana in Xie's front pocket.
Both suspects were processed at police headquarters and held for court, reports say.
