Police Offer $10k Reward For Arrest of Armed Robber

Harrison Police are offering the reward for anyone who provides information directly leading to the arrest of the person or people responsible for two armed robberies near the Harrison Train Station.

Two armed robberies in two months near the Harrison Train Station have police offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the cases. 

Victims in both robberies were confronted by an armed male while walking away from the station. The most recent incident took place at around midnight Tuesday, when police say the by an armed black male wearing dark clothes on Harrison Avenue.

The robber showed a dark colored handgun and took a cell phone, briefcase and cash, police say.

Police believe the suspect has been targeting riders on the New Haven Train Line. Similar robberies have taken place over the last four months in , Mamaroneck and New Rochelle. 

The first incident in Harrison took place on Feb. 9, when police say a male victim in the back of the head on South Road near the I-95 overpass at about 9 p.m. The robber in that incident made off with only a cell phone. A similar armed robbery took place only hours earlier in Mamaroneck.

None of the victims have sustained major injuries.

In each incident, police say victims were approached from behind by a black male wearing dark clothes displaying a handgun. The robber then demanded personal items including cell phones wallets and electrical devices.
