Police: Drunk Man Lunges at Officer, Resists Arrest

The following arrest information was provided by the Harrison Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police responding to reports of a disorderly male in a Calvert Street apartment ended up having to subdue an angry tenant who they say lunged at them in a third floor hallway.

Joseph Gentile, 65, was cursing and screaming inside of his apartment at 3 Calvert Street at about 11 p.m. on April 9, police say. After police demanded that he open his door, arrest reports say Gentile cursed at the police before opening the door and lunging at a responding officer.

Police say Gentile was heavily intoxicated, and that he was taken to the ground. After a struggle a second officer assisted and placed handcuffs on Gentile. He was then transported to police headquarters.
