A 42-year-old Hastings-on-Hudson man faces a driving while intoxicated charge after police say he hit a parked car on Lake Street before driving around the block and returning to the area.

Witnesses told police on Aug. 12 that they saw Evan Williams leave in West Harrison at about 8:30 p.m. While trying to leave a parking lot in a black Land Rover, witnesses said Evans hit a parked vehicle four times before driving off.

Within a few minutes police received a call reporting an erratic driver moving westbound on Underhill Avenue with the same plates reported by witnesses. Police spotted the Land Rover only a few hundred feet from the alleged accident scene, at 145 Lake Street, where they pulled him over.
