Police: CVS Target of Another Petty Larceny

The following arrest information was provided by the Harrison Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

Odds and ends including a bag of candy, box of Pop Tarts and a Hallmark card found in the possession of a Mamaroneck woman near CVS landed her in police custody this week.

Adalaine Madden, 48, of Mamaroneck was arrested on Oct. 4 at about 4:15 p.m. after a Dunkin Donuts employee called police reporting she stole a bag of coffee beans from the shop, police say. When police found Madden near 216 Halstead Ave. they say she admitted to taking the bag of coffee beans, but that she returned them when the Dunkin Donuts employee caught up with her outside.

Police arrested Madden at the scene. Police say they later found several items that Madden was carrying with CVS price tags on them. Police did not find bags or receipts and checked security footage at CVS. Police say surveillance video at CVS shows Madden stealing several items including a container of Tylenol, a dog treat, body wash, an air freshener, candy and a Hallmark card from the store.
