Police: Connecticut Woman Caught Driving Drunk on 684

The following arrest information was provided by the New York State Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Connecticut woman faces an aggravated driving while intoxicated charge after she was caught driving on Interstate 684 in Harrison with a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit, police say.

Police stopped Olimpia Santaromita, 49, on the interstate after she was spotted drifting in and out of her lane, according to police. A blood-alcohol test administered by police determined Santaromita, who is from Danbury, CT., had a BAC of .22—more than twice the legal limit.

She was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated DWI and is due in Harrison court Aug. 9.
