Police Charge 2 With Driving While Intoxicated

Yonkers Man Charged With Driving While Intoxicated

A 63-year-old Yonkers man faces a driving while intoxicated charge after a traffic stop on North Street on May 26.

Aidano Dibona, of 94 The Crossway in Yonkers, was pulled over at about 4 a.m. after police say he took a wide turn onto North Street from Sunnyridge Road in Harrison. While speaking with the driver police say they smelled alcohol in the vehicle and noticed that Dibona had bloodshot eyes.

When asked if he had been drinking, police say Dibona admitted to having a couple of drinks before getting lost on his way back to Yonkers. Police say Dibona refused to submit to a blood-alcohol test and was arrested and charged at the scene.

After being processed at police headquarters Dibona was released without bail and is due in court on June 21.

Swerving Driver Charged With DWI, Police Say

A Harrison man was also charged with driving while intoxicated after police say he swerved over the yellow line while driving on Harrison Avenue on May 27.

Police say they pulled over Cujar Bohamon, 25, at about 4:55 a.m. While interviewing Bohamon, of 15 Calvert Street in Harrison, police noticed a strong smell of alcohol. 

Bohamon agreed to a field sobriety test, which police say he failed, and was placed under arrest. At Harrison Police Headquarters Bahamon agreed to a blood-alcohol test, which revealed that he had a BAC of .15—the legal limit to drive in New York State is .08.

Bahamon was released without bail and is due in Harrison Court on June 14.
