Police: Careless Driver Nabbed With Pot

The following arrest information was provided by the Harrison Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 26-year-old Bronx man faces a citation for unlawful possession of marijuana after police say he was carrying marijuana in his vehicle during a traffic stop on Mamaroneck Ave. in Harrison.

Police say the driver was pulled over on July 17 for failing to maintain a traffic lane. After making a stop near 500 Mamaroneck Ave., police say they smelled marijuana and asked the driver if he was carrying any drugs in the vehicle.

The driver then handed police about three grams of marijuana that was in his pants pocket, according to an arrest report. The driver was cited for unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and processed at police headquarters.
