A 20-year-old Bronx man faces several criminal charges after police say he used a forged credit card at CVS then fought an officer trying to arrest him.

Dijon Herbert, 20, was carrying about 12 fake credit cards when he was arrested at  on Halstead Ave. at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, police say. Harrison Police Chief Anthony Marraccini said he believes Herbert, of 1855 Schieffelin Ave., Bronx, had been manufacturing the cards himself and was trying to use one to buy a gift card.

When police arrived, Marraccini said Herbert tried to avoid arrest and began a physical altercation with an officer.

Herbert was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony, second-degree assault, a felony, and misdemeanor resisting arrest.
