Police Blotter: Man Arrested for False Identification

A summary of arrests from the Harrison Police Department from July 10 - 24.

False Identification

On July 10, at about 7 p.m. Harrison police stopped a vehicle in the area of Theodore Fremd and Halstead Avenue. While checking the vehicle police noticed that the license plates did not match the vehicle on which they were posted. Furthermore, the operator of the vehicle said that he did not have any identification on him but claimed that his name was Aguilar Burtolome.

At this time police asked the passenger of the vehicle to step out of the vehicle and produce identification. While speaking with the passenger police noticed he was carrying two wallets, one of which belonged to him the other containing an identification card belonging to Filiberto Aguilar, which the man said belonged to the driver.

The driver at this time denied that his name was Filiberto Aguilar and he was placed under arrest for false personation.

Later on, while in police custody, police said that the driver of the vehicle admitted that he lied about his name because he did not have a driver's license and that his name was in fact Filiberto Aguilar. Filiberto Aguilar was charged with several summonses for other violations in addition to false personation and given a court date of July 27.

Driving With a Suspended License

On July 16, at about 6:30 p.m. Harrison police stopped a vehicle traveling eastbound on Westchester Avenue after observing an unsafe lane change. The driver, a 35-year-old man, had a license that was suspended in New York State for failure to pay a fine, according to a police computer check.

The driver was issued a summons for aggravated unlicensed operation and making an unsafe lane change. He was released at the scene and is due in court August 5.

Driving With a Suspended License

On July 17, at about 10 a.m. Harrison police stopped a vehicle traveling on Mamaroneck Avenue for traveling at a high rate of speed. The operator of the vehicle, a 65-year-old man, had a license that was suspended in New York State for failure to answer a summons.

The driver was summonsed and released at the scene, he was given a court date of August 3.

Illegal Contractors/Illegal Dumping

On July 18, at about 6:20 p.m. Harrison police responded to a complaint of illegal dumping near a home on Brae Burn Drive. Upon arrival police spoke with three men who were doing work near the driveway of a home. All three men admitted to participating in the dumping of a large pile of dirt and small rocks nearby as well as not having a valid Westchester County contractor's license.

The three men where placed under arrest for unlicensed contracting and illegal dumping. The owner of the home said that he was unaware that the men did not have licenses and that he did not give permission to dump refuse on town property and was not charged.

Driving With a Suspended Registration

On July 19, at about 6 p.m. Harrison police stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Harrison and Union Avenues after a mobile data terminal revealed a suspended registration. 

The operator of the vehicle, a 32-year-old woman, could not provide a valid registration and was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license and suspended registration.

The driver was released at the scene and given a court date of July 27.

Driving With a Suspended License

On July 20, at about 9 a.m. Harrison police stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Halstead Avenue and Parsons Street after noticing inoperative brake lights. The driver of the vehicle, a 42-year-old male did not have a valid driver's license, according to a police computer check.

The driver was processed at the scene and later released, he was given a court date of July 27.

Driving With a Suspended License

On July 21, at about 8:15 a.m. Harrison police stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Harrison and Union Avenues because the driver was talking on a cell phone.

The driver, a 36-year-old man, told police that he did not have a driver's license, which was later confirmed by a police computer check. The driver was processed at the scene and released. He was given a court date of July 27.

Driving With a Suspended License

On July 21, at about 4:30 p.m. Harrison police stopped a vehicle traveling westbound on Westchester Avenue for speeding. A police computer check of the operator's driver's license revealed a suspension in the State of New York.

The driver, a 22-year-old male, was issued two summonses and released at the scene. He was given a court date of July 27.

Driving With a Suspended Registration

On July 21, at about 5 p.m. Harrison police stopped a vehicle traveling near Westchester and Columbus Avenues when a license plate reader revealed a suspended registration.

The driver, a 35-year-old female, showed police a valid driver's license but was summonsed for having a suspended registration.

Driving With a Suspended License

On July 22, at about 10:45 p.m. Harrison police stopped a vehicle on Mamaroneck Avenue for traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver, a 35-year-old man, provided police with a valid registration but a police computer check revealed a suspended driver's license.

The driver was placed under arrest for aggravated unlicensed operation and transported to police headquarters. He was processed and later released with a court date of August 3.

Driving With a Suspended License/Registration

On July 24, at about 2:30 p.m. Harrison police stopped a vehicle traveling eastbound on Anderson Hill Road because the driver was speaking on a cell phone. A police computer check of the driver, a 22-year-old male, revealed a suspended license and registration.

The driver was issued summonses for the two suspensions as well as for talking on a cell phone while driving. He was given a return court date of August 3.
