The past week was relatively quiet for the Harrison Police Department. Here's a look at the noteworthy incidents investigated by the Harrison Police Department between Dec. 28 and Jan. 2.
Driving under the influence
At 8:26 p.m. on Dec. 28, Terrence Fife, a 28-year-old West Harrison man was charged with driving under the influence and appeared to be impaired by alcohol. The arrest took place at 75 Taylor Ave. in West Harrison. The arresting officer was Joseph Parrello and the assisting officer was Edward Detlefs. Officer Stephen Barone was also present.

Marijuana possession
At 9:04 p.m. on Jan. 2, Richard J. Verbanic, a 24-year-old Connecticut man, was arrested for possession of marijuana. The arrest took place at 109 Gainsborg Ave. in Harrison. The arresting officer was Domenick Gentile and Michael Marinelli was the assisting officer.
