Harrison Police Accuse Driver of Pot Possession
The following arrest report was provided by the Harrison Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.
A Port Chester woman is due in Harrison Court later this month after police say she was caught driving with marijuana in her vehicle on Purchase Street in West Harrison.
Police stopped the 20-year-old woman on August 1 near 4488 Purchase Street after noticing her vehicle had non-transparent windows as she drove by. While speaking the driver, the officer at the scene reported a strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
After asking the woman if she was carrying any drugs in the vehicle, police say the woman handed over a silver container holding seven plastic bags of marijuana. Police arrested the driver and cited her for unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
