Harrison Man Had Drugs in His Car, Police Say

The following arrest report was provided by the Harrison Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 20-year-old Harrison man is due in court early next month after police say he was caught with marijuana and unauthorized prescription pills during a traffic stop.

After noticing his vehicle suspiciously parked on Castle Brooke Road, police say they pulled over Thomas Cerillo, 20, and a passenger at about 12:40 p.m. on Jan. 24 as they drove away from the area.

Police say they found marijuana and marijuana residue inside Cerillo's car. He and his passenger were cited for unlawful possession of marijuana at the scene. During a search of the vehicle police say they also found several small pills they later determined to be Ritalin and Adderall.

Cerillo was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. He and his passenger were processed and released.

Cerillo, of Lakeview Avenue in West Harrison, is due in court March 6.
