Harrison Man Arrested For Suspected DWI
Hernan Gozalez-Sotelo, 27, was arrested early Sunday morning for suspected driving while intoxicated.
Harrison police arrested 27-year-old Hernan Gonzalez-Sotelo early Sunday morning on suspicion of of driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Harrison Avenue.
Gonzalez-Sotelo was traveling southbound on Harrison Avenue at about 1 a.m. when an officer reported seeing him cross the double-yellow line on the road. After a traffic stop, the officer reported a strong smell of alcohol on Gonzalez-Sotelo's breath. A police check also revealed that Gonzalez-Sotelo did not have a valid driver's license.
At this time a field sobriety test was administered at the scene, which, according to police, Gonzalez-Sotelo failed. He was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and transported to police headquarters. The results of a blood-alcohol test taken at the station revealed a BAC of .09 percent—the legal limit in New York State is .08.

Gonzalez-Sotelo was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. He is due in court on Sept. 14.
