Harrison Home Damaged In Fire

One firefighter was transported to White Plains hospital after battling the blaze.

A home on Crystal Street was damaged in a fire Monday afternoon.

Firefighters from Harrison and Mamaroneck responded to the blaze a 39 Crystal Street at 11:40 a.m.

The fire was brought under control in about 20 minutes. The white, two-story home had visible smoke and fire damage around the edges of its second-floor windows, and a dark smoke streak smeared a small area on the side of the house.

One firefighter was brought by ambulance to White Plains Hospital, but the severity of his injuries wasn't immediately clear.
