Greenwich Man Accused of Driving While Intoxicated

The following arrest information was provided by the Harrison Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Greenwich man faces a driving while intoxicated charge after a traffic stop on Westchester Ave. in Harrison.

Gagan Ninesh, 42, was pulled over near 2975 Westchester Ave. on June 30 at about 11:48 p.m. Police say his vehicle was traveling too slowly and crossing into other lanes.

Police say when they spoke with Ninesh, who lives at 411 Armstrong Ct., they smelled alcohol on his breath. Police say Ninesh failed a field sobriety test and was transported to police headquarters.

Ninesh's blood-alcohol level was .15 percent—more than twice the legal level to drive in New York State, arrest reports say. Ninesh was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor and released.

He is due in court July 17.
